Campaign Internship Job Description
The Erica Conway Harriss for State Senate campaign is offering high school and college students, as well as graduates, the opportunity to participate in a paid internship program in partnership with the Illinois Senate Republican Victory Fund.
Harriss Campaign Interns will be the foundation of a grassroots political field team, will be immersed in the process of voter contact and political activism, and will have access to the latest in campaign technology to maximize their impact.
Candidates for the internship are expected to work through challenges, canvass voters, complete assigned work, and fulfill the hourly requirements of the internship program. Hours are flexible to accommodate various personal schedules.
Interns will be expected to help with various aspects of the campaign. This may include participating in and organizing precinct walks, training volunteers, attending parades and attending other political events throughout the 56th State Senate district.
Interns will gain firsthand insight into the operations of a state-level political campaign, receive hands-on experience, and develop professional skills applicable in a wide array of career fields.

Erica Conway Harriss for State Senate interns will:
- Assist in organizing political events
