Erica Harriss Running for Senate to Protect Parents' Rights

Erica Conway Harriss, Candidate for State Senate in the 56^th District has released a statement protecting parental rights in education:

 “Illinois has an education crisis in large part due to state policy. The state doesn’t fund school districts adequately, imposes unfunded mandates, and has never taken the initiative to make sensible decisions about administrative reform. We should be spending our tax dollars on our kids and classrooms and we need elected officials who are going to represent them. As a parent with three children in the local public school system, I am devoted to being an advocate for local control, parents rights, and to give parents the opportunity to choose the schools they want their children to attend.” – Erica Conway Harriss, Candidate for State Senate in the 56^th District
